Eligibility Criteria for the Qualification Exam
Turkish Society of Thoracic Surgery Qualification Board – 2022 Exam Information
The exam consists of two stages:
a) Written (multiple-choice test or classical method)
b) Oral (case files – article – oral questions)

October 8, 2022 – Saturday at 11:00
Exam Venue:
Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, B4 Floor

Exam Fee:
500 TL
The fee must be deposited into the account of the “Economic Enterprise of the Turkish Society of Thoracic Surgery.”

Documents Required for Application and Eligibility Criteria:
- Official documentation proving that the applicant is a certified Thoracic Surgery Specialist (approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Official documentation, approved by the applicant’s institution, listing the surgical procedures performed during residency and specialization.
Note: For applicants who completed their specialization more than 3 years ago, documentation of procedures performed within the last 3 years is sufficient. - A list of scientific activities carried out during training and specialization
- A copy of the payment receipt showing that the exam fee has been paid
Note:
Candidates who have entered the final year of their specialty training may only apply for the written phase of the exam.
Candidates who successfully pass the written exam may proceed to take the oral exam only after completing their specialty training.
